Hello October!

This is my favorite time of the year. I love the cool mornings and watching the leaves as they begin to change color. I love putting on the first sweater when the evenings get chilly, fixing the first fire in the fireplace and pulling out my Le Creuset pot and making the first soup or chili of the season. I love all the colors and flavors of fall.

What is fall without pumpkins? I love the family outing to the pumpkin patch, picking the perfect pumpkins and, of course, the carving of the pumpkins. And then there is the baking. Pumpkin is so delicious, whether baked into a sweet pie or served with pasta for a savory meal.
