Out Of The Kitchen Today

by kitchenarian on April 30, 2011

It has been busy around here this week with the Royal Wedding and all. Haha.  I am really not a Royal watcher like some of my friends, but I did seem to get caught up in the moment at the last minute.  I confess that I did get up at 5 a.m. to watch the wedding.  I wasn’t sure I was going to, but it just seemed the American thing to do! I haven’t been in the kitchen much this week because of end of the month work deadlines, but I have a couple of things planned over the next few days that I am excited about.  Today I am out of the kitchen at an all day lacrosse tournament.

I did bake some snickerdoodles and peanut butter chewy cookies to take with us today. These are some of my favorite cookies to bake and take along to any event.  Even though I haven’t been in the kitchen very much this week, I have been thinking about cooking. Here are some great looking recipes I have seen lately on some of my favorite blogs:

Jamaican Lime Banana Bread – Liv Life

Grilled Cheese with Onion Marmalade – The Urban Baker

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes with Brown Sugar Frosting – Pass The Sushi

Lemon Cookies – Diethood

Fresh Spring Rolls – Three Many Cooks

Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream – Brown Eyed Baker

Green Salad Dressing Recipes – Boulder Locavore

Flourless Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies – Chocolate & Carrots
