Monday’s Muffin: Family Favorites

by kitchenarian on September 5, 2011

Happy Monday! Since I am away from the kitchen today I thought that it would be fun to look back at some of the muffins I have made for my Monday’s Muffin series over the last six months.

I started this series back in February thinking it would be fun to greet the week with hot muffins for my family. I try very hard to have fresh baked treats in my kitchen, instead of buying packaged baked goods and cookies from the store. It’s been a fun adventure and I have had a blast whipping up muffins every week and looking for new recipes to try.  Here are some of my family’s favorite muffins that have been featured here over the last six months:

Lemon Blueberry Muffins:

Dried Cherry and White Chocolate Chip:

Sausage and Cheese Muffins:

Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins:

Chocolate Muffins with Peanut Butter Chips:

Whole Wheat Honey Muffins:

Doughnut Muffins:

Pepperoni Muffins:

Monkey Bread Muffins:

On several occasions while I was away, some great friends stepped in and made muffins.
These muffins were amazing:

Kim from Liv Life
Strawberry Cinnamon Muffins:

Kate from Diethood
Oatmeal Raisin Muffins:

Katrina from In Katrina’s Kitchen
Coffee Shop Banana Streusel Muffins:

What’s your favorite muffin at your house?  Is it sweet? Savory?  Is it a family recipe or did you discover it on your favorite blog?  Share your favorite muffin here and leave a comment about it below.  Let’s see how many muffins we can collect.

All of your muffins look amazing – your Monday Muffin series is by far one of my favorites. In the linky, I shared a muffin that brings together a few of my favorite flavors, and I happily had chocolate for breakfast – Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Muffins.

I love muffins… There’s always those days when you need a muffin before you go on the subway… What better than homebaked fresh muffins 🙂

What a beautiful roundup of muffins!! I wish I were a baker! I have my eye on the lemon poppy seed ones, although my husband would prefer the pepperoni ones.

all these look amazing! i love the savory muffin idea, i need to make more of those. The coming fall will entice me to bake more often, as for now the oven is off for good and even the stove top is a little iffy.

beautiful photos! gorgeous muffins
