Warning: I may repeat myself.
I love fall.
I love fresh figs.
I love goat cheese.
I love honey.
See where I am going here….
I love this appetizer.
This is a recipe, but not really. It is three ingredients (that I love) that you combine to amaze and impress your taste buds…and your friends…maybe not your children, but that’s ok. It just leaves more for you.
I love fresh figs with blue cheese too. Almost as much as I do with goat cheese. Almost.
What is your favorite way to prepare this delectable fruit?
Ingredients:
Fresh figs
Goat cheese
Honey
Starting at the fig’s stem end, cut each fig into quarters, stopping 1/2 inch from bottom so that the bottom stays intact. Press the figs open and spoon a small amount of goat cheese into the center. Arrange figs on your serving platter and drizzle with honey. Serve immediately.
Kitchenarian Notes: You can also slice the figs in half and place the goat cheese on the fig half with drizzled honey.

Beautiful. I love fall. This is an amazing combination.
My favorite way to eat a fig! YUM! My mom had bought a huge box with figs from Costco…I think I ate their entire stash. :/ How many figs is too many?
your pictures are so so pretty, and I’m right there with you love fall and love figs!
I have never had figs. Well, unless those little cookies count, (fig newtons?). These look stunning though!
ha ha – I LOVE fig newtons!
Wow, this must be the easiest and most delicious fig recipe I’ve seen. Stunning, too!
Thanks, Liz. It’s so easy, it is hard to call it a recipe!
What stunning figs! The photos are just enchanting! With company all next week, this is a perfect appetizer, seasonal and bursting with flavor!
This is just so beautiful! Such simple ingredients turned into something amazing!
Love this recipe! So elegant and flavorful. I’ve also had it where the honey is mixed with the cheese before stuffing but they also mixed in a small sprinkle of finely chopped fresh rosemary. It gave it a beautifully fragrant flavor that really paired nicely.
Thanks so much for the comments. I love your suggestion! I am going to try it your way next time.
