February Snow

by kitchenarian on February 20, 2012

No recipe today.

I’m just sharing my late winter snow with you. This is my favorite type of snow, here in the morning and gone in the afternoon! I snapped these pictures from my front door and my back door early this morning and the snow was already melting.

Even though I have said many times before that I would be happy not to have any snow, I must be honest, it doesn’t really feel like winter unless there is snow. So, now that the snow has come, I am looking forward to warmer days and Saturday trips to the farmer’s market.

Wherever you are, I hope you have a great Monday.

What a beautiful morning view…so peaceful. I’m glad my southern friends are waking up to the white stuff…as I’m anxiously awaiting spring!

So pretty! I love snow so much. Grew up playing in it every winter. But then we moved to Houston (23 years ago) and snow became a memory. Thanks for sharing your snow photos. They make me furiously happy on a Monday morning!

Thanks so much for your comment. Living in Virginia, we are not guaranteed to have snow every winter. While I am not a big fan of big snowstorms, I must admit the snow is so pretty and I do enjoy one snowfall a year. Now I am ready for Spring!

So pretty! I’m jealous your snow stuck around, ours didn’t stick to anything at all.

What a beautiful view. I don’t think I would be able to live in a place that its so cold it snows. I complain about the winter months when it is 18 degres.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful show photos. I grew up in the northern part of SC where we had snow once in a while and it was always magical! My husband and I lived near Philly for 10 yrs. before moving to Houston. I really miss the gorgeous snow out in Bucks County! Also, thanks for your tasty recipes!

Beautiful photos! I used to live up north, but am now in the south and I sometimes miss seeing this out my window!
